translating european bachelor

In europe a bachelor is 3 years. In USA a bachelor is 4 years.

Can someone with a european bachelor apply for a Masters program in USA?

Yes. Just make sure your grades are really solid, and try to attend a school that's recognised in the US so that there isn't any doubt about the (perceived) quality.

OK. Here no one know if one need to study an extra year to reach 4 or if 3 years are enough. So that was really helpful.

Of course solid grades is always a plus. What do you Americans consider solid? I guess a 3,5 and up on your scale?

This is our grading scale in europe: ECTS grading scale - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think a B in everything is solid. What do you people think?
A B means you are top 35% and A mean top 10%.

Just so you know, an European C is equal to an USA B, while our B is roughly their A-/B+.

And yes a European 3 year education is equal to their 4 years since we take less side classes.
