ok so how do people get from one class to another? its gotten really cold here lately which got me wondering. if i go to mcgill, how would i get around in the cold?

i've kind of been wondering too

Um, they walk.

when it's this cold?

/\ You realize that makes you sound like a candy***, right?

I don't think you understood what I meant

it snows all the time... they're used to plowing the roads and salting

This post is a little stale but i figured I'd impart a bit of info, mostly gleaned from wikipedia and the like. Montreal has the largest underground complex in the world, McGill is part of that, the buildings are all connected underground.
*I might be wrong, this is just what I've been lead to believe.

AFAIK McGill has no real underground tunnel system. Quite a shame considering the wonder that is the underground mall that is not far down the street.

It gets cold, snowy, windy, bitter, etc but I think people tend to put this aura over the famous "montreal winter." Really, it's not that bad, and trust me this school excels at ensuring you have a safe path to walk from class to class. Finals have never been cancelled, the worst they'll do is delay them by one hour. That happened to me once, it sucks. This annoying thing happens where it'll be cold for a streak of a few days, then get obnoxiously warm, creating tons of slush and salt crap mixture which stains your shoes. Always have a pair of shoes and boots you don't give a damn about for the Winter. So don't worry, as long as you're warm and water proof you'll be fine. It's currently raining, although Winters have draaaagged on until the start of finals (mid April). You're worst enemy will probably be ice - though I've yet to slip since I'm convinced I have superman-like reflexes....
