Transportation on campus

Someone just posted about why this board seems dead. I don't really know why because honestly I loved Middlebury when I looked but do have a question.

The awesome Middlebury library seems to be a bit off the regular campus and we traveled up a windy road to reach it, not on foot. Is there a campus shuttle or something that I didn't see? It's the building off of some major farmland with lots of classrooms/lecture halls inside and it looked like the/a library but know that many schools don't just have one library.

There’s nothing on campus that is so removed from the rest of campus that you’d need a shuttle to reach it. Everything is within walking distance. Honestly, the main library . . . I could probably throw a baseball to the next building. So, I’m not sure what you saw. Middlebury is a fairly spread out campus compared with many others, but like I said, it’s all within walking distance - even on a cold winter’s day.

The only thing I could think of was possibly the new Bicentennial Hall which is the Science Center where they do have a science library. But even that is not so far that you’d need a shuttle bus.

What urbanslaughter said. The Davis Family Library (the “main” library) is in the thick of things on campus. Bicentennial Hall, with its science library, is on the edge of campus but by no means out of walking distance.

My soon-to-be-a-high-school-senior daughter and I visited on Wednesday for an information session and tour, and we both enjoyed it. As far as transportation goes, one thing that they have now that I really wish they had back in my day is a free shuttle service between campus and the Snow Bowl.
