I live in Los Angeles County.
And I checked the train and buses that
connects to SLO.
What is the easiest and cheapest way to
get to SLO?

I have been looking into the same thing. I live in Burbank (LA County) and I think justsomeboi does too (I think). The fastest way is by car. I may take a car solely for this reason. The other way would be by train, but that is a long haul. I'm sure there will be plenty of people heading down towards LA from school, that you could catch a ride with. All you would have to do is pay a portion of the gas. I really don't want to take a car my first year...too much to worry about. I think a bike, a longboard(skateboard), and the free bus transport will be plenty. And the train will just be miserable.

I live in the SF valley and I hope i get a car pass.

I have no idea about the bus or train ways of getting there.

Follow up
there is a grayhound and a armtrek train going to san luis obispo

There is a Amtrak that goes straight to SLO here in Burbank (LA County). Pretty cool I can basically just walk a mile or two to the amtrak and just go to SLO.

dude.. amtrak is hella bull shiit -_-
i can drive down to SLO in 2.5 hours - amtrak from san jose takes 5-5.5hours and yeahhh.. bs

Amtrak is slow, but the train station in SLO is very close to campus.

hahha yea, amtrak is bs...although it's the only way if u can't find any rides or u don't have a car. my friend came down from sac once and took him 11 hours (compared to driving, which was about 4-4.5 hours) just because of delays and such.

takes me 1 - 1 1/2 hour to get to SLO from Ventura county by car

yea burbank here.

I found a train on amtraks site that goes from slo (not campus) to burbank's train station. With all the stops though... it'll take much longer than driving through traffic.

60 bucks one way aint worth it... if your gonna go home twice a month or more. I shelled the 360 to bring my car.

Are you in a Lamborghini? Jesus.

It takes me 90 minutes to go from Santa Barbara to SLO (75mph average).

Have you seen speed of traffic past santa barbra?! it gets to be 90-95! i love it. But from ventura in 1 hour at most... seems impossible.

Well If you don't mind...I live in Burbank and one of my friends also lives in burbank...But i would be willing to help out with gas money and if my friend comes he would pay too so...that'd be good. I'll add you on facebook. we'll talk
