Travel Lovers!

For all of you travel lovers: let's talk about traveling! Where have ya'll been, where do ya'll want to go, and what's your favorite/least favorite? Share funny trip stories, amazing pictures, etc.

Mexico, NYC, Princeton, Boston (Harvard), All around the west, DC.
Favorite: NYC. I love this city.
Least favorite: Anywhere in the west. Lol.

I’ve been to Tampa, Florida…and St. Petersburg, Florida.

I’ve been to a lot of those places as well (well, not really all around the West, but to a couple of states around there)!!

I LOVE NYC. Hopefully I’m going to college there Barnard 2015-cross your fingers!) I really love Boston, too, and I’m applying to some schools around there. I likd DC fine, I went in the summer during a heat wave so it was intensely hot. In the West I’ve been to Arizona and California. I’ve been to Jersey but not Princeton-I went to North Jersey to visit a friend.

Let’s see…I’ve been to El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Panama, England, Nigeria, the Netherlands, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and the US (NYC, Boston, Chicago, Minnesota, California, Texas, and Florida :)). I WANT to visit more of Europe (I’m even going to apply to the Sorbonne), but I think I’d rather go to college in NYC (Columbia or NYU!!! :D) or R.I. (BROWN!!!). :)

I love traveling and car trips, but I’ve yet to go to many interesting places.

I’ve been all around the west. It’s hard not to when you’re stuck here.
I’ve been through Canada, but that was not an enjoyable trip.
Mexico/Texas
California
Missouri/Illinois
Alaska
I wish I could travel more.

My dream is to go to Prague.

@Josh Byron: That’s awesome!! I’m so jealous  I went to Honduras and Belize-I got my face scratched by a monkey in Honduras haha! Next summer for my senior trip I think we’re going on a cruise to Barcelona, Cannes, Rome, Turkey, and Tunisia-it’ll be my first time in Europe :)

Also, where in Texas did you visit?

I’m off to Mombasa at the next opportunity (likely on a break from school).

@musicallylatin: I’d love to go to Prague. I want to backpack with a few friends through Europe-ideally as a gap year thing, but the parental permission is not seeming to be a solid haha. I just went to Alaska in June! I went to Sitka for a father/daughter bonding trip. Where in Texas did you visit?

I have been to the Houston area a few times. I love the city itself, but my goodness, I’d die in the weather.

I lived in Fairbanks until I was ten and returned this past Christmas, but living in the state I’ve been all over the interior. Anchorage is a really interesting city. Everything is jam packed into a small small space. There are, I think, three malls, which in comparison to the actual area of the city is a lot. Alaskans often complain about it.

And Prague… ahhhh. My excuse to go will hopefully be honeymoon. We’ll see how much money my husband will be willing to spare on me in the future. :stuck_out_tongue: I’ve always wanted to go at Christmas.

RootBeerWriter: I was only able to visit Dallas for a few days :(. We visited on our way to California.

Hahaha, I have a friend who also got attacked by a money :D

And I’m planning on backpacking around Europe with a few friends also!!! But, during the summer before going off to college. My older sister is also planning on doing the same a year before I do, so, if it all goes well with her, my parents will be cool with me doing the same :)

Oh gosh… It’s frightening realizing I’m old enough to plan a back packing trip through Europe. Very.

Ya, next summer between high school and college, hopefully I’ll be working at youth camps, for children who have known someone close to them that’s died. It would be and awesome experience to me.

I wish money would attack me. I need some.

Been to: South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, California, Florida, Philadelphia, and DC.

My favorite place was New Zealand, I kind of fell in love with the country, actually. ^_^

I want to go to Europe, and Canada.

@musicallylatin: That’s awesome, I literally just went on a weekend trip to Houston last week! Not my favorite city in Texas (that award goes to San Antonio), but it’s a fun place with lots to do. The weather is miserable, however-I agree! I love southeast of Houson, around the Galveston/Kemah area. It’s pretty sweet.

That’s really neat! I’m always so jealous of people who have grown up in cool places :)

I want to go to Africa for my honeymoon :)

BAHAHAHHAHA, I JUST realized that :D

I think you can guess what’s wrong with that sentence :)

Ahh, I completely forgot!!! I’ve been to DC and Virginia also :)

@JoshByron: Ah, Dallas is very cool. I like the restuarant options up there haha
I wish my parents would be cool with a gap year! They let me go to NYC randomly (skipping school for it) to visit some friends I’d made at a summer program that they had never met, and they can’t let me go to Europe with some lifelong friends? grrrrr

@Blackbeltducky: That’s amazing! I’d love to go to New Zealand-everyone I know that’s gone has fallen in love with it!

@RootBeerWriter, agreed. Although we were only there for a two days, I clearly remember we ate out for every meal (with the exception of breakfast - we ate that at the hotel :)).

I don’t know if my parents would be cool with me taking a gap year…but, I don’t know if I’d really want to take one. Ahhh, my friend who lives in Spain invited me to spend Thanksgiving with him. My parents said that as long as I pay for air fare, I could go (thank god I have SOOO many miles saved up :)).

@joshbyron-That’s wicked cool. I should befriend some international students…
