Trend in 2011 FRQs

please let the Physics C be easy. NO GRAVITATION AND PLANETS PLEASE

How can one compare? The only real way is to have taken the same AP test 2 years in a row. It may seem harder because it was different material that you didn’t cover but somebody else may have and they could think it was easier. Also, one may find it to be more challenging just by being in the testing scenario.

The Spanish Lang one seemed to be normal.

From the one’s that I’ve taken so far.

AP Enviro - MCs were way hard, but FRQs were especially a joke with almost no math involved.

BC Calc - MCs seemed so easy to me, but then again I studied like no other. The non-calculator FRQs were a breeze and the calculator seemed a bit harder than usual; the only exception was the Taylor/MacLaurin problem, which was definitely easier than usual.

AP US - MCs seemed normal to the tiniest, tiniest bit harder, but still pretty easy; FRQs were really easy, especially the DBQ for Nixon where New Federalism was about the only big thing that the documents didn’t contain. The last FRQ was harder than the others, but was very BSable.

I also took the US History SAT II, which seemed like a joke as well.

Tomorrow, I have Comp. Gov. and on Wednesday, AP Lang. We’ll see how those go.

The AP US History DBQ was decent (average-ish), while all four of the FRQs were extremely difficult. Two of the Physics B FRQs were extremely difficult, while the rest were average to easy. The AP Environmental Science FRQs were easy, with the exception of a couple of sub parts of questions. On the whole, the FRQ/MC difficulty ratio has been a lot higher than average, with the exception of AP Environmental Science. I did think the Spanish AP was uniformly harder, MC and non-MC, so nothing there.

The math parts of the Environmental FRQs are always the easiest, they are basic hand calculations that require pretty much no outside knowledge or lengthy explanations. They’re essentially free points. Still, the amount of calculation was about the same, there generally isn’t very much.

Psych- The FRQs where more involved (more parts to do) but not harder in my opinion. The MC was kinda term specific, either you knew it or not.

Art History- Same difficulty, but totally different focus. There was almost nothing on the Renaissance, or the Baroque, but a lot on the ends.

Calc AB- Was hard for me, but I’m not good at math. The FRQs seemed to be more involved also.

Euro- Was on par, kinda name specific, but the FRQs made up for it.

Physics B-…eww. The FRQs were either on par, easier than normal, or seemed to be trick questions. The lab question totally seemed to be a trick question.

AP Calc AB was definitely alot more difficult when compared to previous years

AP Art History -
Multiple choice easy but very very unbalanced - there was a larger focus on ancient art and moderate on renaissance and on
FRQs - Long essays were ok (one worked out perfect for me) but the short ones were really tough. I practiced with last year’s questions and these ones were harder to my judgement but still I did my best

AP European History
Multiple choice was so so. Some questions really hard whereas others really really easy
DBQ - Awesome !!! (easy)
FRQs- One of them very easy the other sigh

What I’ve heard is that the FRQs were harder but most of my friends told me that it was a single particular question that was a big challenge

Enviro: Very easy all around
USH: Seemed harder than normal
Human Geography: Absurdly easy.

AP Computer Science FRQ was definitely harder than past years, but not unsolvable(which means it’s still pretty easy once you actually think about it)

Lots of people left some of the questions blank :o, worst thing ever to do?

I found that most AP tests’ MC’s were easier though… including Comp Sci

AP Bio MC was extremely easy. 20% or so lab-based.
AP Bio FRQ was also easy. Hopefully the curve isn’t too harsh.
