Tricky FAFSA for undergrad senior to grad...help please

I’m finishing my undergrad in May, applying to grad schools for 2018-19.

On my FAFSA, I indicated that I’ll be a grad student as of 2018…question 29 when it asks what my status will be as of July 1, 2018.
I provided my current undergrad school code along with the school codes of the grad schools I’m applying to…one of which IS my current college…but to their MFA.

Problem is:
My financial aid TO DO list has an incomplete item that states: You’re an undergrad who listed themselves as a graduate student for 2018-19. Please correct your FAFSA and let the aid office know or update your student status to graduate.

I’m worried because my final semester aid disburses on 1/02/18, but all the emails about it state that any financial aid TO DO items left incomplete will prevent my aid from disbursing the week before classes.
I’d sent my FAO an email a month ago about the to do item and they responded with: “we’ll mark it in our systems that you’re graduating in May,” after I told them about my concern over the incomplete financial aid to do list item.
This to do list item has to do with 2018-19, so I was hoping it wouldn’t affect my Spring 2018 disbursement, since the FAFSA is for my hopeful grad program starting in August 2018 after graduating undergrad.

The to do list item is still on my account, which means it could definitely prevent my aid from disbursing before classes start, which CANNOT happen. I need the money to pay for school and books.

I will be going into the office once they open back up on the the second of January…the day disbursements begin, with the hope that they can remove my tomdo list item. What should I do?

I think you’ve got it - contact the FA office as soon as you can. This is an easy fix.
