<p>Hi. I am a high school junior currently in Algebra 2. Next year I want to take statistics, but my mom thinks it’s better to take trig/pre-calc. The statistics teacher is really good and the pre-calc/trg teachers are bad. Will it look bad if I don’t take trig/pre-calc?</p>
<p>Well, what is it that you want to do? Are you going to go into engineering? Trig and pre-cal would be helpful in that case. Your performance should be based on your work alone, not how good the teacher disseminates knowledge. Dig in deep in the books. </p>
<p>If not, just take stats. I think you’ll wind up taking stats anyway though in college.</p>
