Triple Dorm

This is my first year in college just to point out. I want to know what would be the outcome after Spring Orientation because I have 2 roommates and one withdrew from the college before Thanksgiving, and the other is isn’t coming back for Spring semester. Is it possible I might have the dorm to myself or will there be new people I should expect when the Spring orientation rolls by? Also I didn’t have a close relationship with my roommates anyway so having the room to myself won’t be a problem, but I would like to see any answers for this.

At d16 school, the contract stayed that if the room was at less than full capacity, that a new roommate could be moved in at anytime, so don’t expand into more than your allotted space, this was for a double, but I suspect you might find similar wording in your contract. That’s where I suggest you start. Or ask your RA.

Good luck!

It depends if there is a need for housing on your campus. If there is, you will have a new roommate (or two). If there any forced triples, you are pretty likely to get a new roommate. But you may get lucky and have a single for the rest of the semester, it really just depends.

If your parents are willing and your college allows, you could see about paying the single supplement for the semester. You could also ask your friends if any of them wants to move in to your room. Generally, the college has the right to move someone else in. They might not move two in, but could put one person in.
