How does one share 2 desks and 1 closet when there are 3 people in our dorm.Does the person who gets the top bunk get a desk or closet? or both?It would seem unfair if they only get the top bunk.Where would they put their stuff and how would they work without a desk?

I'm pretty sure etiquette-wise, the recommendation is that the person with the top bunk is entitled to a desk (I thought tripled rooms had no closets, not one? Ah well). In any individual room, your mileage may vary... some roommates are more polite than others, but if you get shafted, as far as I know top-bunk-gets-desk is the standard arrangement, and should be insisted upon.

There is a study hall in like every dorm building and there is the library. That is what I will use.

anybody get detripled yet?

RHD told me that it wont happen anytime soon for guys. Its faster for girls though.

lol, anyone need a roomate (seriously)? I don't have housing and am living off campus but would desperately like a place on campus!

how are the dorms and bathrooms? Are they sanitary? what about the noise level in most dorms/beds/etc?

One more thing, how are tha libraries at stony brook? Do they have quiet/ 24 hours areas?

the bathrooms are pretty sanitary. it all depends on who youre sharing the bathroom with. but they do get cleaned. the walls are paperthin... so noise travels. its not too noisy though. the libraries are pretty good... lots of books... not enough computers though. its dead silent so you can work... and theres plenty of space to sit and work. oh and there is 24hr quiet during finals week... so you can study.

my room is getting detripled. finally.

Lucky. Where are you located on campus?

i'm at james college in H-Quad

Ah, I am in Hendrix in Roth Quad.
