Here's some info on what happens when a student at UCSD developes Trion Eyes.

Triton eye is what you get from being at UCSD too long. Your standards that define what is attractive is lowered considerably. It applies not only to females, ... but to males as well.

Girl A: Ooh... that's the first hot guy that I've seen here this whole year...
Girl B: Wow, you got triton eye.

Sadly, I can imagine that. My hopes are hung on grad school. >D

If she only sees one hot guy in a year, how are her standards lowered??

I'm guessing the hot guy she saw was not very hot?

yup...she must've forgotten what a hott guy really looks like

hahaha...i love that term "triton eyes"

Well.....at least Triton Eye makes the world seem more beautiful? :)

Aaaaahahahahahaha

yea triton vision is a epidemic on campus, once you catch it, its over........

Isn't Triton Eye a good thing?

So true. The girls here are not only ugly, they are very unladylike and unclassy as well.

There was this girl in one of my engineering classes that probably showered once a week, and she always ate her food (and lots of it) during lecture, and burps a lot after she is done eating.

haha, I just went to the urbandictionary link. I love how the vast majority supported the concept only for ugly girls.

the guys here are pretty damn gross too, but outward beauty is not as important for guys, so nyah.

lol@ this. HAHAHAH "makes the world seem beautiful"

subjecttochange: Woah woah there, what's with the double standard?

So it's ok for guys to be ugly but not for girls?
Because guys can rely on something other than look, while girls can't?
Uhh, no plz!!!one11!

I've read up on this topic a lot already, at other UCSD sites, but you're the most infuriating comment on this yet.

How about the guys start looking and acting better, and maybe the girls would find someone WORTH dressing up for?

Girls just COPE with unfortunate situations better; we don't love ugly people any more than guys do.

there is a double standard, but it is true, it is easier for guys to look good, and people dont demand it as much.

yeah, everyone dresses like poop here. when I was in HS, i did laundry every week, now I do laundry every three weeks. pretty much everyone wear blue jeans ALL the frigging time, and sweatshirts of course. It is really classless. I think people should at least wear dress shirts, and I wouldn't mind seeing girls in nice skirts once in a while, but Nooo, it is UCSD so we must all look like poop.

and if you want to bash the guys here, it is really not that hard either. the guys here are all really boring humorless idiots, and a lot of them are pretentious as hell. sometimes you will overhear guys trying to chat up girls say on the campus loop shuttle or something, there was this one dumbass that kept talking about European history, but he was absolutely oblivious, and he ended up saying some dumb poop about Yiddish. I promptly got off the shuttle and vomitted.

bwahahahahahahah LMAO

If you guys want a real example of "Triton Eyes", look up the school I'm transferring from: Rochester Institute of Technology, or RIT. 80% male, mostly hardcore geeks. UCSD is only "gross" compared to the other schools in this area.

i love it when i am in a college (Muir) where there are more females than males...

I think ERC wins there.

Warren has more males ;(

lol i am not commenting on this.

WayyyTooWorried, since when didn't you like guys ? :/
