D was accepted on 10/4. Anybody else? Did anybody received any financial/scholarship info? We are still waiting for official merit offer.

Hi psblstnr, my DD was accepted on 10/16. She got her package yesterday, apparently they had some problems with the printer and sent them out this past Tuesday.

guarani - thanks, we also received the whole package yesterday and very happy with it! Are you from MO?

No, but a bordering state, so that comes into play with tuition. We also are happy with her package, especially since Truman is her #1! Truman was her first visit, and after going through the acceptance process, visiting other schools where she’s been accepted, that hasn’t changed. She loves the quirky-slightly nerdy vibe. When I asked her what she liked about it so much, she said, “It just feels like home.” Maybe it’s her inarticulate way of explaining things, but I like knowing she has a good chance of being in her element there.

H and I are impressed with the emphasis on academics and the reasonable price. With her merit, it’s cheaper than her state flagship! Plus the smaller size lends itself to more personal attention. We’ve been to some other schools that she’s liked very well also, but none have knocked Truman off the mountaintop. :)

I guess I’m a bit behind. Just applied today.

Did you guys or your kids get their admission results quickly?

unseen - less then a week for us, transcript was there already.

Excellent. Thanks. Shame we won’t learn about the competitive scholarships for a while yet though.

unseen - in one the letters from Truman, there was mentioning of January/February time frame for them to award other scholarships

Just got my acceptance letter today. It was actually rather anti-climatic (parents didn’t act too excited). And now I still don’t know any better whether or not I am going to attend. Ah. So many choices to make.

S is a junior and seriously considering Truman. Would you mind posting your merit awards? Thanks

I received $10k in merit aid. That divides into:

OOS Tuition Scholarship: 5k
Combined Ability Scholarship: 3k
President’s Honorary Sch.: 2k

Has anyone received the President’s Leadership scholarship? I’m curious as to what it would have taken to get it.

Apparently’ they have already selected and are interviewing the finalists for the Pershing scholarship. Disappointed. I didn’t have any idea until I called them. No announcement whatsoever. :-\

Anyone else? anyone?
