Has anyone recieved any information of the Trustee Scholarship Decisons? I saw on a previous post that someone said they were mailed on Wednesday, and usually it takes 2-3 days to arrive. I was just wondering to see if anyone had heard anything yet

We live near Albany. Nothing in mail yet.

Nothing here in the Baltimore suburbs.

I live in Upstate NY and just got notified today

Congrats to you TorE33! I guess they’re only sending notices if you are a recipient.

I live In West VA, do you think if I do get it, it’ll come by Monday?

Twooutofthree, HWS would not only send out acceptances; that would be downright rude and inconsiderate. It is just the way the snail mail is working. I know it’s hard, but try to be patient.

Thanks CarolynB, we were going to check today’s mail. We are in upstate NY too but you’re right, the mail can be funny. I didn’t know what HWS policy is. Some schools do only send out positive news (rude or not). Good luck to all who applied.

got it today in long island, new york!

Accepted with Trustee Today!

I heard they’re only notifying winners. I live in Los Angeles and haven’t heard anything yet (not saying that I will) anybody from the west coast hear back?

And congrats to those of you who have been accepted!!

Heard today, didn’t get Trustee so they are apparently notifying everyone who applied. Did get a smaller merit grant so they are still on the list

Happy Day todayin CA!! DS got the Faculty Scholarship… $17,000!!! Not the Trustee but close… all in all they gave him a package that covered all need… we are SOOO happy right now…

Congratulations to all those who received scholarships! That’s excellent news! To those who are still waiting, hang in there. You know, my son could have applied for a Trustee scholarship as he qualified, but he didn’t; he was feeling a bit daunted by the whole application process at the time. However, when he received his acceptance letter that March, he did receive a very generous scholarship which was a complete surprise to him (and the rest is history!). So you never know. Hang in there. I’m crossing my fingers for you.

D is accepted with Trustee Scholarship! :D

Nothing yet, here in CT : (

Me and my friend heard today and both got it! We’re in LA

Hi Ken,

Who told you they were only notifying winners? I assume that includes those given slightly smaller merit aids as seen in this thread. I have not received anything yet and am therefore a bit nervous.

I started another thread a few days before this one and somebody left a comment that led me to believe that they were only notifying people who were awarded the scholarship. It doesn’t seem to be true from this thread but I’ll copy the following comment just so you can read it. I would suggest you email/call the school (or the person who interviewed you) if it’s really killing you.

“I live in Geneva, have two parents who work at the college, and my sister attends. I have applied. Yesterday, I was in the admissions office talking to some of the counselors (I had brought in a friend who was interested in a tour). They told us that the trustee scholarship winner letters were being mailed this Wednesday, as in tomorrow, 2-22-12. As for non recipients, they said that they get out admission letters about a week before April 1st. Hope this helped.”

this was posted by RyanDoyle99 (thanks again Ryan)

Good luck Sompi1 hope this helps!

I think there needs to be some clarification here. I simply cannot accept that HWS would not let students know in a timely manner that they didn’t receive a Trustee scholarship. I would expect HWS to pretty much send them out at the same time to those who were awarded the scholarships. I think the non-recipients about whom Ryan was talking are those regular RD students who DID NOT APPLY for the Trustee scholarship.

I think it is entirely the variance in snail mail delivery; I firmly believe it has nothing to do with any acceptance or rejection. Sompi1, where do you live in Connecticut? Do you live in a small town? Mail is delivered much more quickly to major metropolises like LA than to small towns. Please just take a big breath and try to relax.
