Hey guys, I’m new to the site, and I just wanted to see if anyone had some expertise on Barnard’s transfer admission process. So, I’m a freshman English major at Howard University, and I applied to Barnard as a first-year student but unfortunately, was rejected. I just don’t think Howard is the school for me, and I really want to give Barnard another shot.

In high school I had a 3.9 GPA unweighted, 1610 on the SAT (yeesh…low, I know…), 600 in Reading SAT II and 580 in the American history one. Tons of extracurriculars, I was valedictorian and class president, community service, I did community college classes starting my junior year, and I graduated at 16.

This past semester, I had a 3.4?? GPA, was in a couple clubs, volunteered to help at a shelter for kids, but not much extra curricular stuff. Oh, and at the end of this semester, I will have 24 credits.

So, I guess my only question is, does anyone think I have a good chance? I know it’s not really a fair question, but I need something to calm my obsession lol. Also, is transferring in easier? I heard that somewhere, but I don’t know if it’s true.

Okay, thanks everyone!
