I am currently a first year student at Babson College and I tried to transfer to Rutgers New Brunswick for the Spring 2016 semester. However, I got denied and I am currently trying to appeal the decision. I was told that my academic credentials were good but not good enough. My high school GPA was a 4.2 and my SAT score was a 1750. I was told that I could make an appeal once I attach my updated transcript from Babson. The average GPA at Babson is a 2.9 due to grade deflation and even though I am not the smartest student there I know that my GPA is higher than the average. Do I have a good chance of overturning the decision?
Are you trying to transfer to the business school or arts&sciences? If you are a freshman at Babson, they will still be looking at your SATs. A 1750 is low for the business school. If you are a sophomore, they will look at how you performed at Babson and not pay much, if any, attention to high school. What is your Babson GPA? A 3.5 would be very helpful. Why do you want to leave Babson?
