Trying to assess the prestige/quality of education at Bentley, similar schools

Hi everyone,

I have to say, I looked at a lot of boston colleges and I really did like bentley; the business program sounded great and it seemed like a nice environment, somewhere that I wouldn't mind spending 4 years.

While looking through colleges in that big fiske guide, as well as on here, it's obvious that some schools are simply better than others, in terms of prestige and quality of education. however, it's been hard for me to get a grip of this on bentley. supposedly, babson is ranked better, but the social life there is supposed to be nonexistent, and many people just don't enjoy it there.

i know, prestige and reputation vary from person to person, but I'm curious to hear what people think of bentley. is it comparable to a school of business at a huge state school? it's no harvard, but will people be impressed after college when they see bentley on my resum

Babson's social life is supposed to be MISERABLE. I heard this from someone - and who knows how accurate it is - that the difficulty of their freshman year workload is comparable to Princeton's.

Bentley is pretty impressive for a b-school. My dad is an alum, both undergrad & grad, and it has served him very well. He loves Bentley and recommends it to all my friends who are pursuing an education in business :) A friend of mine attends Bentley and loves the social life there as well as his classes.

Great! Thanks for the response. Yes, I have heard the same thing (as I said) about Babson. I really don't think that that's a place I'd like to be. Bentley, on the other hand, sounds like a great school and I'd have a great time!

Again, however, going back to my original question, how prestigious will it be look on a resum

I'm sorry but I really can't comment on how prestigious it will look - I am no expert in that field.
