Trying to enroll at community college

My brother is in high school and is graduating 5/30/15. He is trying to enroll for a community college summer term right now but we are unable to answer some questions.

“As of 05/17/2015, I will have the following college enrollment status:?”
Four choices are:

  • First-time student in college (after leaving high school)
  • First time at this college; have attended another college
  • Returning student to this college after absent for a main term
  • Enrolling in high school (or lower grade) and college at the same time

“High school education level as of 05/17/2015:?”
Three choices are:

  • Not a graduate of, and no longer enrolled in high school
  • Will be enrolled in high school (or lower grade) and college at the same time
  • Received high school diploma from U.S. school

I called the office twice and they weren’t of much help. They told me to put “first time student in college” and “received high school diploma” but when I do that it says you cannot put a date after 05/17 because my brother will graduate 05/30.

Anyone have any clue? Thanks.

Ok, just follow their advice. The graduation date is so close just put 5/17. They just want to understand that you have graduated.

I agree. Act as though the actual graduation ceremony were 2 weeks earlier. The actual date is irrelevant as long as he’ll be a graduate by the time courses begin.
