<p>This may sound like such a pessimistic view, but take it from someone who’s been on the roller coaster ride that is college admissions. If you focus intently on one school that you think is perfect for you, it will be devastating if you don’t get in, which is a completely realistic scenario for ANYONE applying to a top-20 school.</p>
