Trying to tell my AP teacher that I'm not taking the AP exam

So virtually everyone takes the exam for all the AP courses at my school but I just don't see the point. I know where I'm going and I won't get any credit for this particular AP exam, though I will with some other ones.

The teacher told our class that she doesn't really mind, but when I talked to him, she seemed incredulous and a bit ticked off. I'm guessing it's because I'm one of her better students and its an AP exam that doesn't require extensive test preparation.

I was already on the fence of whether to take the test or not b/c I know that if I were to take test it would only detract from my studying for the AP tests that DO matter a little bit. I thought I had finally made a decision but this reaction by my teacher has me reconsidering.

Any opinions/advice?

Are you a senior?

Wait, is your teacher a hermaphrodite?

Take it. It looks horrible if you don’t take the test.

Just take the test for the lulz.

^^^ Yup.

^^ LOL, I guess that’s a freudian slip. She is kinda mannish.

And yeah, I decided to take the test after thinking a bit more about it and also reading this post: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/1064019777-post15.html

I guess I was still stuck thinking in the HS junior paradigm where APs are approached with the “I must get a 5!” mentality.
