Trying to Transfer to UCLA and Cal, what are my chances?

I am going to my second year in a CCC and I am going to apply for UCLA and CAL this coming fall as a junior transfer, but I am not sure if it is out of my reach.

For UCLA, I am going to apply their TAP program and a regular econ. For Cal, I am gonna be applying for either regular econ or political economy.

I currently have a 3.95 GPA. I will satisfy the IGETC and major prep requirements and have over 90 units before transferring. I will also receive 2 AA degrees in Math and Social & Behavioral Science before I transfer.

I am involved in various things in college. I am the Finance Senator in the student government, and also honors program, honors societies like Phi Theta Kappa and Alpha Gamma Sigma. I also did some research on sociology and economics and got 2nd place in a research conference.

What do you guys think about my chances? Please feel free to leave any comments and discussions. Thanks a lot.

As long as you maintain your GPA and you write a good essay, you will likely be accepted to both schools.

do they require your SAT pr ACT scores?

SAT and ACT scores are not required by transfer students and won’t make a difference :)

Okay…

You can send them anyway if you want, but I really don’t think it matters, my UC never needed them :)

Looks great, but they won’t care about SAT scores or your associates degrees. I would not mention those and instead spend more time detailing your research-that is really important.
