try from a spare anonymous email address maybe?

I don’t know, that’s weird. He responded to my January SAT test score, and that’s the last time I emailed him. Why would he ignore emails about confirmation?

Hey guys, I just got a confirmation email that said this:

Did anyone else get such an email?

I just got the same email! I’m so relieved that my application actually got delivered and didn’t get lost or rejected or something like that.

I still haven’t got the confirmation email, yet.

I have not yet received an email.

Me neither. I sent him an email that said “Yo dude, ■■■, where’s my confirmation email bruh?” or something to that effect. Hoping for a quick response.

I got a confirmation email, but not as formal as the above. It is an email from his assistant indicating my app has been received.

So is anybody gonna apply to more programs? If so, which ones?

Just received the confirmation letter! The subject is Clark Scholar Applicant (N-Z) so I suppose the confirmation is sent out based on alphabetical order of last names?

By the way, this is totally unrelated to TTU application, but should I retake my SAT? I got 2080, 2040, and then 2290. I am thinking about applying to one of the HYPS or MIT ED and feel like my scores are not good enough. Being so close to 2300s is very unsatisfying. Most people online advise to not take the SAT over 3 times, but my SAT prep teacher says it doesn’t matter, my parents really want me to retake it, and I know of several people who took the SAT over 3 times and still went to schools like Stanford. So should I retake?

Also just got a confirmation email, which matches fairyfantasy’s description.

@fairyfantasy 2290 is passable, only retake it if you’re personally unhappy with your score

Got my confirmation email. However, it came from clark.scholars@ttu.edu. Does that mean we should be sending our emails there?

I haven’t gotten a confirmation email yet, and my last name is in the first half of the alphabet. Anyone else? :/

I haven’t gotten one and I am also first half…

@fairyfantasy Depends on your ethnicity. If you are a URM, then you should be fine, but otherwise, I’d suggest you retake (especially if you are Asian and are assuming for HYPSM). Just my two cents though. ;)

@indianboy2400
A little unfortunately, I am an Asian. lol I suppose I will retake it, afterall. Any suggestions for how to close gap b/w 2290 and 2350- 2400?

@fairyfantasy I don’t think you should waste your time bumping your SAT score 60 points, especially when you already have a 2290. At that point it really doesn’t make a difference and that time can be much better spent doing more important things.

Anyway, does anyone know when results come out for Clark? And are there multiple cuts or alternates?

The e-mail said mid April iirc

Do they place more of an emphasis on scores and grades, or do you think they’ll consider impressive awards/extracurriculars as well?
