@premstudent , I am sorry to say that I am having a bit of fun at the expense of many angsty teenagers:-)
I thought they were coming out at 3?
All we know is that decisions are coming out tomorrow in the late afternoon. My guess is any time between 3 and 5. There will probably be a post on facebook/twitter sometime around noon letting us know what time to start checking the portal.
@OGkushadmit2020 I’d like to think the email is indicative of an acceptance. Got similar emails from BC and WPI two weeks before decisions was finally released, and was accepted to both. Why would they sent financial aid emails to a rejected applicant anyway?
The financial aid email is NOT indicative of an acceptance. As reported above, some people received other letters and were rejected. It’s just an automatic system and has NOTHING to do with your admissions status. The financial aid office probably isn’t in close contact with the admissions office.
Just noticed that this was posted on the admissions blog: http://admissions.tufts.edu/blogs/inside-admissions/post/decision-time/
It’s a recycled/updated version of the “Selectivity” post from last year, which is no longer on the site.
I think decisions come out by 3pm because on the latest post about “decision time” by Lee Coffin, He says “tomorrow afternoon” and not late afternoon. Am I reading into this too much? I hope not. Decision day will be less stressful for me as I already have a good option in Vanderbilt. Still waiting for five decisions- Tufts, Harvard, Princeton, Upenn, and Columbia. Good Luck with decision day!
Just want to wish everyone good luck in their college decisions tomorrow. I truly wish you all the best. Know that there is not one sole college you will be happy at. Rather, there are plenty of colleges that could provide fantastic experiences for you. So be grateful for the acceptances that you do get, and don’t be bummed out by the rejections.
I’ve been lurking this thread for a while, and everyone has been so supportive and kind. It’s great! We’ve been waiting so long for decisions but it is finally almost over.
I think I’m gonna just treat it as something to get slightly glad about to help me sleep tonight, and if rejection follows so be it. I’m still curious if anyone else who is an applicant received a specific Tufts ID though, that was the part that really stood out to me.
I’ll be at an event tomorrow when decisions come out and I can’t decide whether I should wait until I get home to open them or just do it there on mobile
I think you already know which option you should do, and I also think you know which option you will do.
@anon9362 Definitely wait!!!
knowing me, i’ll forget about the decisions and will check them at like 9
I mean if I open them it’s not like I’m going to tell anybody I’ll just quietly do it myself. What was your thought @OGkushadmit2020 because I’m totally split between the two
@anon9362 Personally I know I would be absolutely unable to wait until I got home. However, I know the smarter thing in my eyes would be to wait. That way if it is bad news you can already be in a good place when you start sulking. I hope you get in though.
I don’t know I’ll see how I feel tomorrow. I don’t feel very good about my chances I have a lot of weaknesses in my applications
Hey guys! Just wanted to wish you all good luck for tomorrow’s decision! If you get in, I look forward to four years with you, and if not, best of luck to you wherever you end up. I can’t wait to meet all you guys
I’ll just go to bed early and resume freaking out tomorrow. Goodnight everyone
good luck to all. things will work out.
