Tufts ED First Quarter Grades

I'm wondering about Tufts and how they evaluate senior year first quarter grades. So Tufts does request first quarters (which is weird, most colleges don't require them) and I'm curious as to how they see them. I'm worried I didn't do well enough this quarter. Throughout high school, I've had only 2 B+s and 2 Bs–*but this quarter, here are my CORE grades:

AP Euro–A
AP French- A
Honors physics- A-
AP English- B
AP Calc AB- B- ******

The B- in calc is what I'm worried about. How will these awful first quarter senior year grades hurt my chances of admission to Tufts for ED 1? I just really really want to get in.

Re-post this in the Tufts forum. But no one can really answer the question for sure since we don’t work in admissions for Tufts. The answer is “it depends” - on the rest of your application, your other grades, course rigor, recommendations, essays, EC’s etc.
Tufts does a thorough holistic evaluation of each applicant. But the acceptance rate is about 23% overall, so it is hard to say what any individual’s chances are…
