<p>Is 200 words a maximum or a minimum? Is 350 ok?</p>

<p>Well, 250 was last year’s limit…so based on his answer, I’d say 350 is too much. 200 is the suggested limit, which means +/- 25 should be okay. 300 would be pushing it.</p>

<p>Isn’t it 250-400 this year? Or am I thinking of the wrong essays?</p>

<p>Hmm…I have 90 words for the first essay, which is supposed to be 50 words… :frowning:
and it’s 486 characters (with spaces) out of the available 500.</p>

<p>Would anyone not applying to Tufts be willing to read it for me and help me as to what i could cut down on…?</p>

<p>And praisebetoFSM, it’s 200 for the required short essays and 250 to 400 for the optional essay.</p>

<p>@ dinorawr, I think 90 words should be fine…I read somewhere that your response can be 100 or even 150 (not that it’s preferrable), but the most important thing is to pick 1 or 2 things you really love about tufts and focus on those rather than listing 59329 random things. Of course it’s always better to be succint, but as long as you don’t go over the char limit…you should be okay. Mine is 82 words.</p>

<p>Ah. Thanks for clarifying dinorawr. I think my first short essay goes a little over 200 words, but my second is only like 110 or so.</p>
