Tufts Transfers- What am I up against?

The reason I asked is because Brown's stereotype is that they are all tree-huggin hippies where as bc students are collar popppinig preppies

hey,
I believe that Tufts has recently updated their website and was wondering if anyone is able to click the decision link yet?

One more question, who has applied for financial aid?

stiiiiiillllll nothing

I Got In!!! I'm So Excited!!!

nothing!! I must be either rejected or borderline...this is not a good sign :(

santamariachica! Congratulations!
Hit me up with your AIM or here is mine, friedrubberducky.
Finally someone else whose gotten in aswell!

Good luck to the rest of you'll.

congrats! did u find out from online?

I received a phone call (actually a voice mail) from the transfer admissions counselor (or dean or something of that sort). I know that sounds weird, but I called the office several times this past month and asked them to review my app earlier because I had received admissions offers from Wash U and William and Mary. The reply dates for those two schools are in very early May. When the admissions officer called, I was visiting Washington D.C. for a singing performance. I just got back to Massachusetts this evening, so I got the message; I'm not going to get the mailings until tomorrow or Wednesday. The website said that they hadn't made a decision on my app, but I know that's wrong. They're still finishing off the applications, so don't despair if you're still waiting! If anyone's on the Facebook, they can facebook me: Lindsey Santamaria (Mount Holyoke College).

ohhh! congrats! that is so awesome, im so happy that you got into your first choice (i think tufts was your first choice?)!

are you going to enroll?!

ugh. i wish they would hurry up with everyone else's decisions though.
but congrats again!

I think that I'm going to enroll, but I want to check if Tufts will accept most of my credits. I really want to go! When I talked to Wash U, they refused to accept/to apply most of my credits! (Let's just say that I don't plan to go there now.)

congratulations santamariachica!

I was just wondering, did you apply for financial aid?

I have not received my admissions mailings, and I don't know if they gave me any financial aid (I hope that they give me some aid!!!). All I know is that I got in. I did apply for financial aid.

any word guys? i just got into nyu and brandeis and now i'm just waiting for tufts (my #1)

i'm getting nervouss, i feel like everyone's getting their letters

congratulations on your acceptances,

I don't know if this meant anything, maybe you can inerpret: friday I received an email from tufts admissions telling me that I am missing some forms from my finaid application...do you think it means anything that admissions is requesting this information of me now(as in I got in and they are puttingtogether a financial aid package), or could it be that they need the information in order to make my decision?

thanks

Its probably independent of that. I think, you could have gotten in and they need the financial documents to see if or not you will get aid.

is tufts need-blind?

Unfortunately, no.

how big of a factor is one's need on their admissions decision?

Oh, well anteeny-- if tufts isn't need-blind then the financial aid email must be a good sign!

but i can only guess how big of a factor it is...i want to say it isn't huge but i have no idea.

Yeah, tufts isn't need blind. Infact, I plan to apply for aid next semester.
