Tufts Transfers- What am I up against?

heh. chill out girlygirl.

easy for you to say, you got in!!

but you're right. I do need to remember to breathe.

C'mon, I'll tell you what, call em up and tell em your name. Then ask if your acceptance is conditional or unconditional, ofcourse if you've been accepted its unconditional. Depending on his tone of voice and hesitation you can have a slight idea of whether you got in or not.

Sounds whacky or even crafty? Sure is, but thats how I realised I had gotten in before I got the letter.

For the people looking at TAMS, I already got a letter in the mail and received a phone call, which said that I was accepted, but my admissions decision link on TAMS says that the admissions committee has not made a decision on my application. Don't rely on TAMS!

Yeah, TAMS is notorious for its deception.

red, I think it's good news that you can click on the link

I, on the other hand, still can't but I will not give up hope just yet, even if this does mean that I probably didn't make the first wave of acceptancess!

Red, yeah i got the same deal as you today. i saw it there around 10 am...and actually made myself refrain from looking until i was done with the day at 3 (i had two presentations and i didn't want a rejection overshadowing my performance). so then when i finally looked, ha, a nice little letter saying "we have not yet reached a decision on your admission." or something like that. but yeah, i couldn't think of a more frustrating move they could pull -- nor why they would do that for some, and not others.

janel,
I'm almost certain that the letter means that they have actually made a decision (I am not sure though if it means that you're in or out)

best of luck

I'd think you're in, but thats because it happened both with me and with santamariachica.

I'm actually wondering if it means they've firmly decided to wait on red and I until the final grades come out. I'm still sort of confused on how Tufts works this final grade business...they send out some decisions now, yet on the phone the guy told me that they wait until after final grades to give the decision...?

haha, don't get me excited Don_k! my luck is just absolutely despicable in these regards, trust.

janel89,
what are you stats?

nothing great...let's just say that.

fair enough. I only ask because I think you're in but I only base this on the fact that your TAMS decision link is clickable and yes, that could very well mean that you've been rejected but if your stats are in the "good enough to get in range" then I think it's safe to say you're in

should I call them? did the link work for Don K and Santamaria?

wow this whole grey link/black link talk is making me depressed

mine's still grey...and i guess you guys think that's bad news

i don't know... i'm a little skeptical, girlygrl. i doubt tufts would think hey, let's tell the kids who we're about to admit that they're decision is ready -- and then act like we were just kidding, it's really not, and then send them a letter to let them know they're in. don't frett.

their decision*...ahhh, haha...haven't slept in 36 hours. yeah.
my stats and qualifications are get-in-able, that's safe to say. but like i said...nothing absolutely amazing.

yea that make sense---hey, what school are you at now?

yeah, im beginning to think its random..or that it really is that they havent made the decision. my stats are just mediocre to good so guess there's no telling from just the link.
