Tufts University Early Decision II Class of 2021

I’m sure this goes without saying but as soon as anyone hears (either way) if they could post on here so we can all stay updated that would be great.

Confirming Tufts does not have enough alumni interviewers so don’t stress if you didn’t interview. And yes, people are deferred in the ED2 round to RD.

They’ll probably announce on the Tufts admissions twitter account when decisions are released, so turning on notifications for their tweets might help!

Just asked my interviewer about the EDII release date. She isn’t sure but told me most likely Thursday or Friday afternoon of this week.

That is cool she told you that! at least we know right when they are done the decisions will be released
hope your interview went great! @Bjklw2a

My guess is Friday. Last two years they came out on Friday. Monday is weird date. I have 28 ACT and 3.6 GPA.

Check tmr afternoon though, just in case. There’s a snowstorm the next two days in Boston, so don’t know if they’ll operate normally :frowning:

It’s Boston; they’re definitely used to snowstorms. I’m sure it’ll be okay.

lol all high schools and some colleges (BU) here are all closed for tmr. Haven’t heard anything about Tufts closing yet.

I think we are going to find out Friday guys. I live near Boston and my school district is know as “the one that never closes”. We never have a snow day unless the police tell our superintendent we have to and He has already called off school. 12 years in this school district and this is the first time It’s been cancelled before 4am . There is no way tufts will be open tomorrow. Too dangerous for everyone

Lol what a coincidence, my school is also known as “the one that never closes”. Based on WCVB 5, Tufts is closed tomorrow. At least we can push down our stress levels a bit tomorrow by knowing that decisions won’t be out until at least Friday afternoon.

Tomorrow is a very big snowstorm, even by Boston standards. They will not be in the office tomorrow, and it will almost definitely delay decisions unless they have already finished and done everything like putting them in the computers etc.

The wait is driving me insane

I had so many dreams I was checking the portal but it wouldn’t say anything

Guys I think it’s finally going to be on Monday itself! Loong looong wait

My college counselor said that he’s fairly certain they’re coming out today, but it might be tomorrow! Good luck everyone

I don’t think we will find out until Monday. I urge you all to check your emails. I just got an email that they had a glitch in the system and the director of admissions said that they don’t have my writing supplements. She told me to email them to her by Sunday 12th but said the sooner the better. I just sent them. There was also a generic message at the end that said “If you wish to be released as an EDII candidate and be considered under Regular Decision, we can make that change as well (a writing supplement would need to be submitted however).”

I am super scared that this means I am being deferred. This message was at the end and looks generic and I don’t know if the just write that to all applicants because it is a binding agreement.

What do you guys think? Do you think If was just being denied that they would even send this out to me???
anyone please answer I am actually freaking out!?!?!

They’re definitely still interested in you, so keep your hopes up. hmmmm…I didn’t get any email today. Haven’t ever heard from the office of admissions ever since I submitted my application, even when my midyear grades were late and they didn’t ask for it. Dunno if this is bad :frowning:

Oh my I’m so scared.
My school hasn’t even sent out mid year grades my guidance person said that they won’t complain about that.

Do you still think the decisions will come out before the weekend?

I never got notifications when they received my stuff like midyear grades, the application status page would just update and say it was there. @kwnstandina I wouldn’t worry about midyear grades, I emailed a week ago when my guidance counsellor was taking forever to explain to them and they said they are not due until Feb 15.
