i am trying to decide between tufts, cornell or brandeis. i would like cornell because it's an ivy, but i think that i would love to go to tufts for economics and international relations because i know they are storng in that. any suggestions? thanks!

if you want IR...go to Tufts. no doubt.

dont even consider Brandeis compared to the other 2 in these fields.

In general, I feel if you want to get an honest comparison of schools, you should use the general forum. People who hang around the forums of their individual school have a lot of pride-maybe too much-in their school.

I don't know anything about Cornell or Tufts in IR. I know Brandeis has the International Global Studies Program. It's amazing. The chair, David Engerman, is someone who I had for history, and he's so helpful, approachable and sharp. The courses give you a firm economic, historical, political and sociological framework to do well in the world. Robert Art, a politics professor, is very well-known. Combined with impressive language programs and the International Business School that attracts people of all nationalities, Brandeis is great for International Relations.

Am I the only one that laughed when I read that? No offense to Brandeis, of course.

I chuckled, but they had good intentions :-D
