Tufts vs UMich for math

I am a Math/CS major and planning to go to graduate school.
Which of UMich or Tufts will be better?

I dont have any financial Aid. (International student)
UMich costs 58k Tufts costs 64k so not much of a difference.

I have heard Tufts is a great school for International Relations but Math is not too good

Both are excellent schools. I think one thing you’ll enjoy about being at Tufts is that because of the small size of the math department, you’ll know your professors very well and that will help you immensely for graduate school applications. At a school like Michigan, it’s much easier to get lost in the crowd. Both Math and CS are good (and growing) programs at Tufts.

Both schools are great for Math and CS but it all comes down to the difference in setting. If you want to go to a smaller (population wise) school that’s set in a suburban area, Tufts would be the better choice. If you want to go too a bigger school that’s set in an urban area, strongly consider UMich. I would say it’s all up to your preferences.

Actually, I think Tufts is the one in the urban area, with easy access to Boston. UMich is in a large college town.

Tufts would be the better choice for the reasons set forth above. Michigan is just way too big for me…
