Tufts Waitlist Status?

Has anyone heard if Tufts is using the waitlist this year, or has anyone gotten off of it themselves?

nope. when are they supposed to reply?
and does anyone know the acceptance rate of their waitlist?
how many ppl are on the waitlist?
haha thx for answering these questions!

it'll be after everyone sends in their deposits.

depends on how many people accept a spot.

yeah I realize that, the deposits were due may 1st, thats why I am asking.

I was notified by the waitlists I was on in very early June.

ok this might sound really stupid, but do you all think its wayyyy too late to write a letter/send my transcript to tufts telling them i want to get off the waitlist? basically, i thought i had no chance and that it wasn't worth it but now i am SERIOUSLY second guessing myself. unless its completely ridiculous i want to send that stuff in this week; the lateness will prob negatively affect me anyway... but is it worth a shot?
(also, i live in the boston area so they would receive my material very quickly)

lol, i think you probably shouldn't, but I may just want to get off the waitlist myself.

WOOOOOO. Just got an e-mail saying I got off the waitlist at 10:15 this morning. See you all next year.

Yay! Congrats!

Wow Tufts used the waitlist this year. We were all afraid that Tufts would overaccept like it did last year and end up with a huge housing shortage.

Congratulations fogdogzz!!!!! See, there is yet hope.

it must be such a relief and excitement!

yeah someone from my school got in off waitlist

congrats!

i wonder how many are originally waitlisted, and how many they took this year...

yay congrats!! out of curiosity, did you do anything to get off the waitlist (send them stuff, contact them, etc?) and if so, what?

great... if people have already gotten off then its definitely too late to send in my stuff (which is what I thought in the first place). ughhhh... i wonder if i'll regret it...

my d got the e-mail this morning that she had been admitted off the wait list. She has a $20,000 merit scholarship from Fordham and had planned to attend. Her interest is pre-med but of course that can change (and probably will). Tufts won't give her any financial aid. What justifies the substantial extra expenditure for us to send here there?

i'd say quality of life and education. Suburb near a city vs. inner-city, also.

my friend is pre-med at Fordham, he had to take about 7 classes this semester and was miserable, for what it's worth. But good luck! Wherever she ends up, she'll be happy.

I got in off the waitlist today!!! I am soooooo excited, Tufts here I come. I emailed my regional representative back and forth several times emphasizing how much I wanted to attend Tufts and that I thought I would be a great addition. It worked I guess.

Yea, I'm real pumped. I wrote a letter saying that if I got in I would go (plus updates and grades), an additional teacher rec, and had a friend call. So I did all the basic things, but nothin over the top. Congrats ISE

wow, i got in off the waitlist today! i sent in a letter of interest soon after i got my waitlist letter from them. i totally didn't expect this, now i have a tough decision to make in a few days!
