<p>Does a parent need to rely on their DD/DS about when bills are paid, given all the deposits notifications have been made through the student's on-line account? While I have left the application process up to my DD and she has a credit card linked to our account, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with her being the one in charge of paying the big bills on time.</p>

<p>I would have her set up one email account that is linked to her Rutgers .edu email. Use this email for Rutgers notifications only and have access to it. That’s what I did.</p>
<p>When you pay the bill, they will send an email confirmation to the email you note on the web page.</p>
<p>Note* they will charge you a fee to pay by credit card. They will not charge a fee if you pay by electronic check from your bank account.</p>
