I've been living here in California for over 7 years.
I do not have a green card. I'll be under my parents' business visa until I turn 21 or something, and by then I would have graduated from Cal anyway since I'm 17 right now.

Do I pay the out-of-state fee? In-state? International, if there is a different tuition for that?

Can anyone please give me a vague idea on how much Cal is going to cost me, assuming that I'll be in the dorms?

Thanks!

You’re only considered in-state, resp. out-state, if you are a Green Card holder/Citizen who lives in California, resp. outside of California. So, by the information you gave above, you’re definitely an international student. And missy, Cal’s website has all the information you need, it’d be better for you to peruse the site for more accurate details. Or best, you can call or email someone there. Trust me, from experience, you’d get more done by going directly to the source rather than putting up with secondary and sometimes inaccurate information. By the way, what is your major?

I’m an English major. And I talked about this with my parents and they say I won’t be considered international because it’s an under-parent E2 visa. (I am entitled free public education, and I’ve been living here long.) I’ll still ask Cal, though.
