Tuition goes up approx 4k

CollegeBoard updated their data on all the schools. It looks like Columbia's tuition went up from approx. 37k to 41k.
CollegeBoard's ACT range for Columbia also increased from 29-34 to 31-34.
Don't know if anyone else noticed this.

I would not exactly trust the accuracy of collegeboard. This year’s tuition is around 39K if I’m not mistaken.

From Columbia’s website:

Average Cost at Columbia, 2009-2010
Tuition $39,296
Mandatory Fees $2,020
Orientation & Transcript Fee (new students only) $495
Room & Board $10,228
Books & Personal Expenses $2,750
Average Cost of Attendance $54,789

The figure on CollegeBoard is probably tuition and fees, which would be ~41k.

Also from Columbia’s website:
The middle 50% of admitted students scored between a 31 and a 34 on the ACT.

per year!?!?

duh…10char

Assuming Columbia implements a hike of 4k for the 2010-2011 school year (like schools of similar caliber), we’re inching towards the 60k mark. Yikes.

60K for tuition (outrageous) or for total cost of attendance (not so outrageous given that room/board is 10K)?

^Total cost.
