Is there any reason my tuition/housing fees have been waived? I'm definitely not complaining, but I was just wondering.

Were these fees waived for most people/everyone?

I’m not sure that anyone knows what you are talking about…Did you apply for financial aid and have been granted enough financial aid to cover those costs?

Could it be the tuition and housing deposits that have been waived? I’m not sure how that would happen, but it’s more likely than the entirety of tuition and housing being waived.

Deposits were waived, my bad. I was not given financial aid, either.

How does one go about requesting for a deposit fee waiver?

I’m not sure… I don’t know how my deposit fees even got waived.

I got something like this from Washu. It was a letter that arrived after the decision notice. Maybe the OP got something similar from NU (I did not get the waver from NU, by the way).

Are you low income? Case Western waived my D’s deposit based in info from FAFSA/CSS info. It doesn’t reduce our financial commitment, it just means we don’t have to pay the deposit of $500 in order to commit by May 1st. Maybe NU does something similar.

i got the same email today. i got good aid from NU, and i do come from a low income background soo…it made sense to me.
