Tuition payment due 8/13 but I'm still being charged for things I shouldn't be

Hi, sorry about this semi-repeat question I asked a few weeks ago. I basically eliminated my meal plan for 3rd North and waived the NYU insurance plan. However, the bill still shows up the same amount as it was when it first was issued. Yet, when I check under bursar, it shows the meal plan as as being a payment. Does this mean that it was properly canceled?

My question is, do I still have to pay the bill in full and will NYU credit the money for the meal plan and insurance back to me. Or should I just subtract the amount of money I would have to pay for the meal plan and insurance on my own and pay the remainder.

Sorry about the paranoia, it's just this is coming out of my pocket and I don't want to make any errors.

Thank you!

just deduct it

Ok thanks!

As a parent of two kids at NYU, we've been through the same situation, and we just deducted it. You don't want to have to pay for something that you're not using, and if you're not getting the meal plan or the insurance, then you don't need to pay it.
