<p>Is there one personal statement (more info about yourself) and then the optional essay or a personal statement (at least 250 words), describe a significant experience essay (250-500 words) and the optional essay?</p>
<p>i thought it was the two "essays" plus the optional one, but I only see a place to upload one (and the optional).</p>

<p>It’s the personal essay and the optional “Why Tulane?” essay - that’s it!</p>
<p>And for those that really want Tulane, the “optional” essay is not really very optional. Not doing it at all sends the message that Tulane is not that high on your list, probably an alternative to the Ivies, Duke, Vandy, WUSTL, etc. Doing it but not putting a lot of thought into, just using cliches and superficial comments is probably just as bad.</p>
