Tulane EA 2025 Decisions

If I got deferred, does that mean I’m out of the running for Paul Tulane / DHS / community service / other scholarships? I am way above the average for stats (1550 SAT, GPA at the top of my competitive class, like a dozen APs with mostly 5s and a couple 4s) and had what I thought was a phenomenal set of essays and activities. I attended quite a few virtual events and wrote (what I thought was) a solid Why Tulane essay, but I was too late to sign up for an interview. I really can’t afford to go to Tulane without merit aid.

For me, I logged in to my Green Wave Portal, clicked on the application and opened it, and at the very top there was a status update with a link to the letter. Not sure why its not working for you!

My kiddo is deffered~ 4.25 Weighted, 34 ACT~ Did interviews, wrote why Tulane. Lots of AP’s varsity athlete~Not a lot of extra-curricula or leadership (this is where shy kids get the short end with applications) Looks like lots of deferrals, making me very nervous with the other schools applied to. This one was supposed to be a match~ This is my first kid I am sending to college so this is all new and nerve wracking~

I’m in the same boat, like down to the SAT score. I’m unsure how it’s going to work if we continue showing interest and get accepted RD? I think they release winners for DHS and Paul tulane in february too…

Same here. I spent so many hours on Tulane applications and I’ll be really disappointed if it’s all for nothing. This is really concerning me, I don’t know if I need to go back and change my common app essay or what now. Glad I’m not alone at least! Good luck

How did you know about honors and merit award? Was it a part of her admission letter? Is there somewhere else to look in the portal?

Agreed. I feel you :frowning:

Hopefully we’ll find out soon, this is stressing me out. Good luck!

How do you know about the scholarship? My daughter was accepted but I don’t see anything about merit award in her letter. Does that mean she did not get an offer for merit I am guessing?

Accepted with 24k a year and honors. 1520 SAT, top 4% of class, did interview, wrote why tulane essay, and attended virtual tour.
