Ok thanks for the clarification. It’s so much to keep track of it all lol
All back now.
Good luck to everyone tomorrow!! Curious if others have heard this too…my son’s college advisor mentioned that often top kids in their class (or high scores / grades) are often deferred as they are afraid these kids use Tulane as a backup to Ivy’s in their applications and save the ED acceptance for kids they feel this is their top choice. Not sure if this is just this person’s opinion or if this is a general thought…
It is definitely real but they really only do it with extremely high stats. Top 1% on ACT/SAT will usually do it which is like 34+ or 1500+.
Hey guys! Will Tulane send an email saying that there is a decision in our portal? This is the first college I am hearing back from and not sure how it goes
Yeah, you’ll most likely get an email saying there is an update to your application status. Good luck!
Did not receive an email from other colleges.
I have read this time and time again from experts “in the know.” It isn’t just Tulane, it is applicable to other private schools and even prestigious state schools. Colleges don’t want to be someone’s back up plan and they don’t want to mess up their statistics by offering places to kids who will inevitably not attend. (They don’t want to have a low percentage of those who receive offers actually attend). @bocacollegemom
My portal looks similar, and my checklist is still there, however, I no longer see my “switch to ED2” button…hmm
same here
switch to EDII is now gone here too
Does anyone know if Tulane rejects a lot of EA applicants? Applicants rejected vs deferred?
on last year’s thread there seemed to be a LOT of deferrals
very excited to get deferred or denied from my dream school
my ED2 is gone also…
i think mine is gone
ED2 gone again. Need to stop checking. Lol.
As cheesy as it sounds think positively! I am sure you are very qualified and wonderful!
My EDII button just went away. Has anyone else’s?
mines gone too!
