Tulane EA/ED Decisions Class of 2022

has anyone gotten the letter and been deferred?

I got in! My top choice! I’m in NJ for anyone wondering.

Did anyone get in who had the ED2 button work?

my ed II button is gone all together

and my ed II button did not work.

ok i’m in nj too. praying that letter shows up in my mail today

will the letters reach the west coast today or will we have to wait until tmrw?

Clarifying, does Tulane use the regular mail delivery, or UPS? Because my regular mail came and did not contain a letter and I’m in Texas, so I’m hoping possibly for a UPS delivery later today.

Accepted EA in Ohio today!!!
Distinguished scholar award ($30,000), admitted to honors program
Stiff, thin 9x12 envelope
White female
32 ACT, 4.0 unweighted GPA, 4.85 weighted
Ranked 1/178
My school only offers 3 APs and I took one my sophomore year (US History- 5), one my junior year (Government- 5), and I’m taking the other this year (Calculus AB); I have taken every honors and DE class available and sophomore year and senior year took/am taking classes at a local college campus for duel credit
National Merit Semifinalist
4-time cross country MVP, 2X all-Ohio, first ever female state qualifier from my school; 2-time track MVP (injured last year), 1X all-Ohio (not a recruited athlete at Tulane)
President of math club
Lots of community service, including 80 hours last summer at a day program for autistic children ages 4-5
Work 15 hrs/week at Wendy’s, wrote common app essay about that (8/10)
“Why Tulane” essay was pretty good (8/10)
Sent two recs (chemisty/physics teacher and APUSH/AP Gov teacher) and I didn’t read them but at least one was probably really good
Didn’t interview, but visited campus before junior year
Tulane is an awesome school and I’m so happy I was admitted. It’s not my “first choice”, but I would still be thrilled to go, depending on how the rest of my decisions play out and how much need aid I get ($30,000 is very generous, but I still cannot afford the remaining $37,000 a year)
Congratulations to everyone who got in and good luck to those who haven’t heard. This forum sustained me in those last few days of waiting, so thank you all.

My friend got in and got $27,000 a year by mail and received a large letter envelope.

Has anyone gotten a letter of deferral?

12/17 was a Sunday though. I don’t think anyone went back to the office yesterday. They were probably mailed out on Friday.

@kalerunner congratulations! Do you know if your edII portal worked last night?

@Ray571 Thanks! It didn’t work for me last night. Still does not necessarily mean anything, but it would make sense for the form to be inaccessible for admitted students.

my mom just sent me a picture that we got the letter in the mail… shes literally coming to school so i can open it. im so nervous oh god. i live in nj by the way

so does it come through UPS or standard mail

I was accepted today with $15k a year!! Since I was awarded this merit scholarship does this mean I am not longer in the running for the Deans’ Honor Scholarship?

where is this ED2 button thing that everyone is talking about? I dont see one on my application portal

@gjb123 no, DHS recipients generally are those who do receive some other merit aid, as they are academically the most qualified

@gjb123 Congrats and welcome to the TU family. If you submitted a Dean’s Honors or PT you will still be considered for these awards. If you get DH or PT, these will take the place of your original merit award (so you will not get full tuition and fees plus the $15K. You will just get the full tuition/fees).
