I’m still waiting. Submitted my app on the day it was due and other requirements on April 26.
I’m still waiting, submitted everything on April 15! I’ve been emailing the transfer admissions counselor, Kristin, she said decisions should be sent out no later than June 1. The anticipation is killing me! They really are waiting til the last minute lol
I wish they would send them out today!! Why make us wait all weekend!!
they just sent some out

Does anyone know their policy on admissions appeals? Could not find anything on the Tulane website, but my letter said they did not receive the necessary supporting documents to reach a decision. All that was missing from my app. was a transcript from two colleges ago due to a hold on my old student account. I got the okay to email an unofficial copy to admissions which I sent in at least 2-3 weeks ago. I have the emails to back this up, too. I know several colleges that do not accept admissions appeals but make exceptions in the case of a minor clerical error.
I emailed the office regarding this issue so I expect a response after the weekend but I would appreciate any advice or feedback y’all are willing to share.
I hope everyone else received better news in their letters than I did; even being denied provides a sense of closure!
My son was rejected. It’s disappointing. 3.7 GPA at a top ten LAC, 1460 SAT, etc. etc., a great candidate. Did anyone get good news?
Maybe they can straighten it out on Tuesday; unfortunately not much you can do this weekend. It’s so hard. Good luck to you. Do you have other options for the fall?
Thanks, Tulane is the only in-state school that offers Neuroscience (pre-med track) as B.S. and unfortunately, I have to stay local. Loyola New Orleans is my backup, their program is almost like the distant cousin of Tulane’s and they dropped a hefty scholarship offer in my inbox so I would happy there too, but there’s nothing like your top choice!
What makes me mad is that someone (omitting details here) didn’t do their job which robbed me of a fighting chance. I would have preferred receiving a rejection letter than an incomplete decision; I’d be bummed for maybe an hour, but at least the blame would rest with me
If you can submit your official transcript would they give you a decision?
I called them yesterday. Unfortunately, they didn’t even let me finish my sentence before they cut me off to me know they didn’t have any more room for transfer students.
I would lean in more, I think; let them know it is your top choice. Send a polite, emphatic perfect email to Kristin or the top guy there (I forget his name). It sounds like it was due to not having all the materials and not your fault. It’s a long shot, as I assume not too many will decline their transfer offers, but what have you got to lose. On the other hand, if the other school is paid for that may work out very well for you. Best of luck, I’m just so relieved my son got into another school that gave him money; although he did think Tulane had a lot to offer.
