Very interested in Tulane, and ran the NPC today. Just out of curiosity, how accurate has the Tulane NPC been in the past? Does it tend to over/underestimate cost, or is it fairly accurate? (Merit scholarship portion in particular would be helpful)
Tulane surprised us by being WAY more generous than the NPC predicted. D earned the highest merit scholarship and then a need-based package that was only slightly more than known-to-be-super-generous LAC she chose, for other reasons.
I can’t really comment on Tulane’s NPC in particular, but in seeing hundreds of posts on this site about NPC’s in general, I get the impression that none of them are particularly reliable. Just my observation, nothing scientific.
