Tulane On-Line Health Form

Has anyone been able to successfully login and complete this? My D can login but when she tries to click the items on the left hand side (Health Record, Immunization, etc.), it says an error has occurred and to contact your system administrator. This is suppose to be completed by 7/15. She will try to phone Tulane tomorrow.

We just did it the old fashioned way and mailed it!

We used that new fangled fax machine!

We had trouble logging in at first, they used my son’s student ID instead of his SS#, but once we found that out, he had no problems logging in and completing the form.

So we’ve been trying to figure this out. The on-line health history is not the same as the vaccination forms, right? My D can not get logged on - tried just about every combination along with trying to register on there and nothing is working. For those that faxed or mailed a form, where did you get that form if it’s not the vaccination one? We have the vaccination form filled out along with the release of information and I did find the form for insurance waiver, so I’m happy that’s done with.

You are correct. I discovered that after my earlier comment. The online history is in addition to the other forms. We just did it a couple of days ago and had no trouble. We registered and created a separate username and then they email a password so you can then go back to log in to the online health history - a few too many hoops to jump through, but we were successful.

I just checked Gibson and my son’s registration is on hold because they are saying they don’t have the immunization form! We sent it before orientation and they said not to worry as it just wasn’t logged yet. GRRRRRRRR

Found the form, it was definitely fax’d to them but on Gibson it says “person cannot register. Has holds.” I’ve scanned it and emailed it to them but wonder when they were going to let someone know?

This is an issue I wouldn’t take a chance on. Definitely call the health center on Monday and see what they say. Some incomplete details are annoying but inconsequential, this one could be consequential. However, I have a hazy memory of the same thing happening to us. I actually handed it to the health care supervisor at Orientation, and it still showed up the same as what you are saying a month later. One phone call and it was fixed.

Yes she is on her way to B school in Madrid on August 25. Between that and getting D2 off to U Miami on August 19 it will be crazy, but it’s all good!

Thanks FC. I have scanned the form and emailed it to the health office, cc’ing the admissions rep. I have a jam packed work week ahead of me and don’t know if I’ll be able to make a phone call, but I will try.

The weird thing is that they assured him at orientation that he was registered. All classes show up as ‘registered’ but at the bottom it says this person is not registered.

I know I’ve been saying this all over the boards, but the various Tulane sites are so confusing and non-intuitive. Even the page where they ‘invite’ the parent to view the invoice makes no sense. I’m just logging in as him.

I’m a tech-savvy person, so this isn’t a Luddite problem. ;)

Oops, ignore my post above, I posted in the wrong topic.

I did exchange some emails with admissions about several topics, one of which was the technical/computer issues. While I got good responses on the other topics, not so much on this one. But probably they are the wrong people, even though a lot of the issues were with the many glitches in Gibson during the admissions process. I guess I am not sure who the right person is, but I completely agree that this needs to be addressed. Tulane does so many things well, however this isn’t one of them. Some schools like WUSTL and Duke have this down to a science, and are often cited as being run very smoothly. It just hurts perception, although obviously the school is doing well in spite of it all. It just shouldn’t be this hard.

Agreed. There are so many different sites and sub-sites, no mouseovers which would help explain things to a newbie parent… mixed messages (one page says Homecoming registration opens August 1st, another page says “later this summer”, and another page has a registration button that takes you to a form but it appears to be for alumni!).

Thanks for following up.

I know this is not about health BUT I still cannot find where to submit a hurricane evac plan - anyone do this already???

Hi Bloomy! It’s in the student’s HousingWeb profile. Click on Profile and then click on Contact Information. Here is where emergency contact information is entered and there’s one tiny field at the bottom that says evacuation location.

Great - thanks!!! Is that through gibson? I don’t see where that is - can you give a link??

On MyHealth…we had same problem until I stopped trying on Google Chrome and pulled it up on Explorer. On Hurricane Plan you need your child’s RMS ID and PIN to log onto housing website rms.giza.tulane.edu and I think it’s on the profile…just one line at the very bottom. Hope this helps.

Hello!

Here is the web address to Housing Web:

[Residential Management System 5](http://housingweb.tulane.edu)

You’ll need your student’s RMS ID and PIN. :-)

Also, this system won’t work on a Mac, you have to log in via internet explorer. We couldn’t figure out why my son couldn’t access it when others were getting their roommate assignments at first. We had to log on with my Dell instead of his Macbook.
