I am having the hardest time making a decision between UW Seattle and Tulane University. Regardless of cost, I am wondering which is the better school. I am interested in Pre-Med. Any advice/thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

At Tulane you’d probably get more personal attention. What are your stats? I’d say it would be better to be closer to the top at UW Seattle (especially since it would be cheaper) than be at the bottom at Tulane, but I don’t know where you stand. However, I visited Tulane and I must say I was surprisingly very impressed. It seemed like an excellent school and you really can’t beat NOLA location-wise.

I have a 3.9 uw (all honors and 2 AP) with a 30 act. I was given scholarship to Tulane, so the two are almost equal in price, making my decision much more difficult!

You have posted this in 2 places, so I will just copy and paste in each lol.

Neither is the “better” school. There is no such thing in general, only which is best for you in particular. It revolves around what is important to you personally, such as large school vs. smaller school (in essence public vs. private), warmer weather New Orleans vs. winter grey Seattle, how comfortable you are with the new adventure of being in the deep South vs. being close to home. These are two very different schools in terms of particulars, but both will give you an excellent education and prepare you for med school, if that in fact is what you stick with (most do not). Think about what will make you happiest and fit you best, and that will make your choice obvious.
