Was accepted as a “guaranteed transfer” for next year… seems like they over admitted to me, at least how my note was worded. I would’ve attended this year. However, I will not be transferring as a sophomore, just not a good idea in my opinion. Tulane really needs to fix their process for next year… they definitely overadmitted ED and EA.
waitlisted in OH
Also I’m from Virginia
Looks like it’s all waitlists now. I wonder who they DID accept
W/L in NYC
Seems like they maybe accepted 5% of RD…
waitlist from California
@KG5APR thanks. Your stats are excellent. It’s really hard to figure out how or why admissons decisions are made. I am guessing if you applied EA that could have made a difference. But really who knows? Good luck with your decision.
I am from Ohio and portal was updated w/o email; also waitlisted which I won’t be accepting lol
I agree @hopefulwfu44 i think the only acceptances were in February and a couple last week
I guess they spent the day figuring out spring admits vs. w/l
Waitlisted after being deferred EA with a 33 (34 superscored) ACT and 4.0 UW. Really just glad that this process is over with, as I will not be accepting a spot on their waitlist. Their handling of the admissions process turned me off from the school starting with the sporadic releases of Early Action decisions in November.
Just got waitlisted in NY. Deferred EA with 30 ACT and 3.8 GPA UW.
I still haven’t heard anything! What the heck
Did anyone else get guaranteed transfer??? So weird.
Did you check portal? I didn’t get an email FWIW @kgt5979
I also agree with @DuelingGloves …started to lose my passion for the school with the way this year’s admissions played out
@ojalabarnard my portal is unchanged… confused
1490 SAT, 3.9 GPA UW with 11 AP’s and waitlisted… accepted into UCLA, USC, and BC so kinda doesn’t make any sense.
Extremely unimpressed with Tulane ad process this year. They did nothing short of amateur conduct in regards to ED.
They waited in my opinion, far too long to release admissions. Tulane, you do have competition and virtually all of them handled this process with both greater professionalism as well as kindness for not stringing this process for far too long.
I discussed with my D, and decided to withdraw application to hopefully allow another student who truly wants to attend a greater chance of being admitted.
If I had someone in my employ who was this disorganized, they would not be rewarded with the opportunity to disappoint the following year.
