@AH1310 I’ve been to two homecoming/Parents weekend (alumni and parents weekend are combined into one homecoming weekend) and they are well worth it—there are interesting info sessions Friday. Friday evening is a carnival and pep rally and fireworks and on Saturday there are fun homecoming activities like tailgating before the football game—food and drinks in abundance and you get to meet your son or daughter’s friends and the parents of your son or daughter’s friends and experience school spirit and watch the football game. The weather for homecoming weekend is usually good as it’s not hurricane season and not the rainy season. Tulane arranges discounts with many hotels so the costs are the same as they would be for other weekends.
I also did not receive the email but would live to know the dates!
Family/Homecoming Weekend 2019 will be November 1-3. The football game is on Saturday the 2nd against Tulsa but the time for that hasn’t been announced yet.
Thanks - just got the email now!
@trackmbe3 Thank you! I guess not all schools are alike. I’ll definitely start blocking out November 1st-3rd; sounds like fun!
Thanks! I still have not received an email. I must not have things setup correctly for me to receive them.
@Momof3kidz I haven’t received that email either. I made a reservation just in case though. I know from my other 2 kids colleges that the hotels book up quickly. I know there are plenty in NO, but they might get way more expensive. There were a few places already booked up - not sure if it’s coincidence or not.
@3mamagirls I did the same! With some hotels sold out and the prices at others quite high I didn’t want to risk waiting.
