Tutoring

Does anyone know where I can find a good tutoring job?
I live in NJ

You could always do it privately. You will make more money that way too.

how old are you?

fifteen...

Bump this up...I'm interested as well.

I started to tutor at a local college (it was a math center) just before I turned 16. I don't think the age makes much of a difference as long as you know your material, although some people are intimidated by younger people who tutor them.

look into kumon...or ask you high school math teacher...in my school the calculus kids tutor jr high and high school kids in algrebra.

I live in NJ and I tutor with a local student-run tutoring organization. We get requests from parents all the time about private tutors. Post on public forums and write to local papers. Or better yet, start your own organization.

I used to work at Kumon in Plainsboro, Princeton, and Lawrenceville (my friend's family owns all three). Don't work there.

do it privately- at centers, you'll get paid by hours though more effort goes into different ppl. just boast your academic achievements and flatter the parents. ;)

I live in NJ, and i need a tutor!!!

Thank you so much for your interest in teaching or tutoring for Kaplan Test Prep.

Because Kaplan receives a high volume of applications from many experienced, accomplished educators and test-takers, we are forced to screen applicants according to a very narrow set of specifications. Among the specifications is a minimum education requirement. All Kaplan instructors must have completed at least a high school degree in order to be considered for faculty positions.

According to the information we received, you have not yet fulfilled this education requirement and so we cannot consider you for a position at this time. We encourage you to reapply when you have done so.
