twilight=love

More than the Bible, more than Harry Potter and Tom Clancy and Artemis Fowl combined.

^ the bible will crucify all that shalt surpass thy statistics.

no, but seriously. artemis fowl was a stupid person, a stupid series at that. harry potter at first was genius, i have never heard of tom clancey i hope he's good.
but they kind of all don't stand the test of time. regardless of its many revisions and contradictory passages to both non and strong followers, the bible has stood the test of time :P

Lol, I liked the Artemis Fowl series. And Tom Clancy is a famous author over here, though he's really old now. Just look him up. And, well, the Bible is a religious text. As long as the religion's still there, it'll keep on selling. Same with the Qur'an and co. I just don't think you can really compare how well the Bible and other religious texts have withstood the test of time and how regular fiction novels can (well, IMO, alot of the Bible is fiction, but that's me. Dont kill me!)

Twilight pales in comparison to Harry Potter.
the end.

But seriously, an unpolished angsty vampire romance about a superficial love based on appearance and scent...? I don't understand the so-called 'phenomenon' of Twilight.

The so-called 'phenomenon' of Twilight, is that a seemingly 'perfect' guy falls in love with an ordinary girl (the majority of readers out there). He is athletic, good-looking, smart, and just happens to be a vampire (which adds a sense of danger to it). In short, he is the 'perfect' boyfriend. Mainly it's that Bella is an ordinary girl, but so many 'amazing' guys fall in 'love' with her. Also the book is really long and easy to read.

The people who I know who like thiis book are not "ordinary" girls they are weird vampire loving girls who fantasize about edward all the time and talk about and write his name all the time. Harry Potter is seventy billion times better

I never said Harry Potter was not better. Personally, I prefer Jane Austen to both. Ordinary, as in not special. Like people who aren't pop-stars in disguise. But then again, since the people that you know are the ones that straighten their hair during class, then maybe they aren't ordinary after all...

the people who straighten their hair in class are COMPLETELY different people than the people who love twilight

Two people who hadn't the slightest notion of insulting the other. Yet I sense some hostility...

uhh... read the thread "Best looking Prep Schools." Just skip to the last couple of pages.
