You have such a way with words, cheeseviolin... Although I do kind of agree. If she did, though, I can guarantee you this thread would die. There are not enough twilight lovers on CC to keep it alive and I personally would like to think that everyone here enjoys defending humanity enough that debating with theamazingjasmyn about everything from makeup use to choice of cellphone is more fun than talking about twilight anyway.

whoa.okay, let's not fight.
twilight and harry potter are both very good books!no, they're not just good, they are amazing!!!
twilight is more of a girly, romantic book(i'm not saying that boys can't read it.).
and i'm a very mellow dramatic girl(i seriously don't know how to spell that.hahaha) so i absolutely love twilight.
on the other hand, harry potter is a VERY powerful book.it's also amazing in every way.and no offense to the twilight director, but the harry potter movies are waaaay better...like a million times better!

also for twilight, i've gotta say, the first book is the BEST book..and then the other books are not as strong.but for the harry potter books, (in my opinion) it gets stronger and stronger.

twilight(on a scale of 1-10)- 9.18
harry potter- 9.08

[i still like twilight better.lol]

might i add, jane austen is the best author..EVER.<3

(my english is not very good so i'm sorry if i have some grammatical and spelling errors.)

i love john knowles's writing! mm, a separate peace <3

i had to re-read it multiple times to actually understand it, though. the first time i read it, i thought it was incredibly boring, but now.. :D

A Separate Peace was... okay. I didn't really understand why it was considered a classic. I liked the writing style, but nothing seemed to happen until the last 50 pages.

mm, you have a point there, but the end packed so much punch! now only if there was more of that throughout the book..

what are other good books, as in classics? because.. well, i need to do some more reading. with like, good/well-written books! i've read too much Gossip Girl, methinks. >_>

Well, my favorite book is The Princess Bride. It's amazing. I mean, it's for children (by children I mean 13-18) but I don't think anyone, from 8 to 80, can hate it. It has everything. Fencing. Humor. A rhyme loving giant.

Classics? Hmm, I've been getting into Agatha Cristie lately. I also love Animal Farm, Brave New World, and the Arabian Nights (which is a huge book. Definitely not something you can finish overnight). Overall, I'm not a big fan of the classics, I'm not really sure why.

I like Emma best out of Jane Austen's books and The Orient Express best out of Agatha Christie's books. :D They're awesome. I'm reading A Separate Peace now.

I'm reading The Road as well! It's excellent, but it's not exactly the easiest to read in terms of its content - it's pretty depressing, but nonetheless an excellently composed and extremely engaging book.

I enjoy Jane Austen's novels, and my favorite is Pride and Predujice, and I sugest seeing the movie after you read the book- it makes more since. I have recently tried to read Wuthering Heights- and have found it incredibly tedious. I did like Twilight (that word seems to be becoming quite cleche, just saying), and I really enjoyed Harry Potter and the Giver. They are simple to read, though. As for more simple, non-thinking books I liked Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants, the Lord of the Rings (lots of skimming), Ella Enchanted (do not laugh, I like happy endings, plus it is a REALLY fast read, lol), and the Theif Lord.

Nothing too original, but what can I say? I do not like to have to think at 1030 at night, right before I am about to go to sleep......=)
