Two 2016 Marshall Scholars Named for USC

Recipients of the most prestigious scholarships/fellowships are named throughout the academic year. One of the first announced is the list of Marshall Scholars. Two Trojans were honored for 2016. Moriah Mulroe, whose interests are in geological sciences and biochemistry, will study at Queen Mary University and Anu Ramachandran will study at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Both received awards and other honors while at SC. Only 32 Marshall Scholars were selected from over 1000 applicants.

Also announced was SC’s fist member of the Carson Scholar Hall of Fame, Pavita Krishnaman.

The names of eleven SC Gilman Scholars were released.

Later in the academic year recipients of Boren, Pew, Luce, Goldwater, Fulbright and Astronaut Scholarships will be announced.
