Two computers?

I'm getting a new computer for college next year and was looking into a Macbook air. I want that computer because I don't consider myself extremely tech savvy, and I know that Macintosh computers are a little easier to take care of because of the reduced numbers of viruses and its easy user interface, et cetera. I currently have a four year old PC laptop which has begun to run a little slow and stuff which is why I want a new one. My problem is, I do enjoy gaming and I have games already downloaded to my computer which aren't mac compatible. I don't do crazy gaming on my PC as I prefer my PS3, but I do play things occasionally like Team Fortress, Portal, Deadspace, Sims (yeah), and am looking into League of Legends...

Do you think its worth it to bring both laptops? I'm getting the mac either way and probably an external hard drive of 1 or 2 TBs, but I don't know... I feel like I want to bring it and have that opportunity, especially since I probably won't be bringing my PS3, but I don't want to waste space and idk... Do other people do this or is it just a stupid idea?

Team Fortress, Portal, Sims 3, and League of Legends are all on OS X. You might have to purchase them again, though. IIRC TF and Portal run fine on a MBA.

I don’t think it’s a big deal. Actually it’s a good idea. That way you separate gaming time from school time. Don’t wanna get tempted by games? Turn off gaming laptop and put it under your bed. Easy way to not get distracted.

But yeah, it doesn’t matter. You won’t be wasting space if you just put it under your bed or something.

Laptops don’t take up a lot of space. At worst, it’ll just end up in the back of your closet. No big deal.

If you want to get the new computer, go for it. As the others said, it doesn’t really hurt anything to have the old one around if you want to use it. I still have my old laptop hanging out in my room even though I don’t use it much and it’s not like it’s in the way.
